It’s been said, "He who dies with the most toys, wins!" This is both true and not true. Some say, “Money does not matter,” but quietly and privately we fear poverty. Fear of homelessness, hunger, and a drop in social status drives many to an insane focus on money—at any cost.

Heidegger on "teaching and learning"

"Teaching is more difficult than learning because what teaching calls for is this: to let learn. The real teacher, in fact, lets nothing else be learned than learning." -- Martin Hiedegger

- Teaching is more difficult than learning because what teaching calls for is this: to let learn. The real teacher, in fact, lets nothing else be learned than -- learning. His conduct, therefore, often produces the impression that we properly learn nothing from him, if by "learning" we now suddenly understand merely the procurement of useful information. The teacher is ahead of his apprentices in this alone, that he has still far more to learn than they -- he has to learn to let them learn.

Grace Unto You And Peace, The teacher learns her/his subject matter, the modes of extending that subject matter, but then, perhaps, overlooks the "strings" or orientations by which the student prefers to learn in favor of EITHER some time-traditional lectures with chalk boards OR other time-futuristic presentations on web-cam broadcasts. What else is there? There are (1) Howard Gardner's "Seven Intelligences" Plus Two as well as the (2) Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, let alone the (3) Spiritual Well Being Inventories with which to narrow down the orientations preferred by students with their accompanying means of conveying the subject material from the teacher to the student. Are teachers aware of these inventories? Are students? Only the curious need to "google" these three possibilities. As for me? I am merely a curiosity. Don As "Tauno"
